3 Reasons Why Echo 8 Show ain't great. Bad video call quality. Poor Voice Recognition. No Youtube.

The video says it all. I've been using this echo show 8 (1st gen) for about 2 years now. It's not that great compared to competitor android devices. The only thing it has going for it is that is so cheap. But don't let the low price fool you. That's all that it has on competitors.

1. Video drop in calls to my relatives are atrocious. Yes.. The picture/video quality is bad to poor. Never have I had a day where the video quality was crystal clear unlike iphone facetime or android hangouts.

To put things into perspective:
I can do facetime calls with my iphone on either wifi/lte cellular.. and it's clear.. no issues with choppy audio.

Jump to my echo show.. 80% of the time.. both video and audio is bad.

2. I don't ask alexa or echo much. I just need to drop in to make a video call to someone. And you know what... voice recognition sucks. Big time. I literally have to yell and enunciate at it. NO.. I should not have to train my machine on how to speak proper english. I just say something like drop in "Lake Short"..... and some how it picks up "Lain Smith".

3. Finally, I can't watch youtube. It's funny.. because alexa echo tells me.. "It's not supported". Nope.. it's supported on android.. you just don't want to support it because it's a competitor to your own amazon prime videos.

Lastly... you get what your pay for.
4. bonus.. the reason why it's so slow and cheap are the ads. Ads which you probably won't ever buy.

Yep.. that's my quick comments about the poor things that don't work well on an amazon echo show.
