Poland 2015 - Main LInes

Action on PKP lines in Silesia taken while visiting the Sand Railways. This area has intense coal mining activity and traffic related to steel making, with many private carriers and a wide variety of motive power both diesel and electric. The final scenes were taken at Wegliniec which is just over the border from Germany. Many trains change power from electric/diesel and vice versa here due to some of the radiating lines being non-electrified. This will change soon as electrification is progressing.
