Toyota Idle Air Control Valve Maintenance (Correct Idle & Cold Start Issues) | AnthonyJ350

Our 1993 Camry with the 2.2L 4cyl 5S-FE motor was having surging issues at low speed during acceleration and would sometimes be hard to start up in cold weather. We isolated the problem to Idle Air Control Valve. But you don't have to replace it, you can clean it!

Symptoms like this, one might think it could be the ignition, fuel filter or poor starting possibly the battery or starter motor. The idle air control valve is a very easy to over look item that needs attention from time to time.
