Expo Games- A Visual tour of the CCI Latin America training event

Expo Games is an event created by Christian Camping International, Latin America to publicize their Encyclopedia of Games: Creators of a growth environment. It has 1000 games divided between 20 volumes. Each volume contains games designed for different purposes, such as games to learn names, games for small, medium, larg groups, pool and beach games, parachutes, frisbee, teamwork, even night games!

The event serves three purposes:
(1) Exposes the participants to an inexhaustible source of recreational activities
(2) Teaches a simple and effective technique for leading them with excellence using an acrostic FE-LAVED
(3) Promotes a philosophy expressed in the "7 Secrets of Purpose-driven Recreation."

The level of excellence in training provided by Expo-Games is not easily found in another environment because it combines the experience of playing, with theory, and then the application of what has been learned. Pedagogically it is an event based on experiential learning. During the 9 hour-long workshop you complete the learning cycle, starting with the experience of playing more than 25 games during the event, reflecting on the theory, then putting what you learned into practice, and receiving feedback to improve your leading technique. With this, you’re ready to never run out of new game ideas, ready to direct with with excellence, and with a criterion to continue improving.

In addition, prior to the workshop, CCI Latin America invests 12 hours to train a dozen local facilitators who will serve as event staff. The workshop provides 9 hours of training with a cutting-edge pedagogy, including a volume from the Encyclopedia, two snacks and a lunch.
