2021 AFE School & CCI Honduras joint camp

The campers are students at AFE, which stands for Love, Faith, Hope which the students desperately need since their students come from families who live and work in Tegucigalpa's garbage dump.
As you can see in these images, AFE School is strategically located in front of the garbage dump, called Trash Mountain. Their mission towards these families is to break the cycle of poverty. Since 2008, CCI, through the support of our Short-Term Missions teams, have been offering our expertise in camping and to provide their High School students with a yearly camping experience. We have also trained their teachers in experiential education techniques for the classroom.
The teachers tell us for them camp is like Christmas in July! They anticipate it all year long!
