British India Steam Navigation Co Ltd vessel ASKA storm and loading coasters in Japan for the Gulf

BI ship ASKA in early 1970's could have been on her maiden voyage. The C/O Dick Wilson can be seen on the fore deck prior to the storm. The canisters that were pyramided on the port side broke loose and the cadets; Dewhurst, Ashton and film taker Nick Pearson secured them, a few times, with dunnage and 'Japan wire' stiff lashing wire. In the hold were sections of a bridge for the Gulf, these too became dangerous and had to be secured in place again with the same type of wire. We could hear the bang, bang, bang as the ship rolled and the bridge sections moved back and forth. We three cadets left the ship in Banda Abbas ASKA was a happy ship.
Loading the two coasters took longer than expected as the wind increased and we were unable to make a lee with ASKA so we had to wait for the wind to subside, I recall a few ships called us up on the trip to the Gulf as we had a very large radar reflection.
