The Port of Melbourne and its behind-the-scenes organisation: the routing of a ship up river, the allocation of berths and tugs, harbour traffic control, cargo handling from ship to rail and road truck, future planning for the harbour, routine inspections and dredging and finally a first aid and rescue squad in action. Written and directed by Jennie Blackwood and shot in 'Technicolor'.
