The Holy Door of Saint Mary Major is closed

Although the Jubilee of Hope ends on January 6, today, December 25, the Holy Door of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the church where the remains of Pope Francis rest, was closed. The archpriest of the basilica, Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, was responsible for closing it. It will remain closed until 2033, when the Church will celebrate an extraordinary jubilee for the 2,000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Christ.
