信州大学教育学部特別支援教育課程卒業、関口あさか。
現在、埼玉県の特別支援学校勤務。学生時代に出会った生徒から、苦手なことを無理にできるようにする方法ばかりではなく、好きなこと、得意なことを伸ばすことが子どもの人間的成長や幸福感、さらには社会性をも促すことを学ぶ。その経験を活かし、特別支援学校でも生徒の好きなことや興味のあることを見出し、それに応じた教育実践を行う。彼女の信念に基づいた数々の教育実践は、世界中の「障害観」を変え、教育を、社会をも揺るがすこと、間違いないだろう。

AsAsaka Sekiguchi, done her studies of Special Needs Education at Shinshu Univ. She works at a Special Needs Education school in Saitama Pref. At her practical, she came across a pupil whom she learnt that, to cultivate the growth of characters, happiness and socialization in one's life, he/she shouldn't be forced to do something, but developing something he/she interested or loves to do.She applies the method based on her experience by finding out what the pupils love to do or their interests. With the practices based on her concept, she hopes to change the views on disabilities, and to change the society by education.
