SOLAR HEAT FOR ABATTOIR WATER - CHALMAR Beef South Africa
BLACKDOT ENERGY ENGINEERING (www.blackdotenergy.co.za) designed and implemented this solar heating system for Chalmar Beef.

The system is a total of 110 m2 of solar panels with 10,000 liters of water storage.
Chalmar Beef Pty (Ltd) is a family-owned business and was established in 1969. Chalmar Beef Pty (Ltd) grows and produces their own feedstock, they also own their own livestock and have a fully operational abattoir facility in place with a capacity to slaughter and process up to 400 cattle per day.
In one year, this installation gives a solar yield of 79.97 MWh and is responsible for the avoidance of 27658.02 kilograms of CO2 emissions.
