Betty and Dan Wilkens have devoted much of the past decade to transforming the gravel pit on their land in Kanabec County, MN, into prairie, wetland, and oak savanna wildlife habitat. Betty walks us through the major steps in the restoration process, the challenges, management, and the obvious benefits to a wide range of pollinators and other wildlife species.
