CSR one of the best cards out there just upped its annual fee. It went from $450 to $550 and people are freaking out

This video is for anyone who has the card or is considering the card. I’m going to ask you one question to determine if you should keep this card or ditch it. And if you do ditch it I’m gonna give you 3 alternatives that equal or exceed the 3x you were getting on travel and dining

Step 1
- downgrade to no fee card CF or CFU

- consider these cards based on whether you want travel, dining or both

Chase ink business preferred

Biz card, for side hustle
- check link for how to qualify

Why?
- You’ve got a trip coming up and want those 80k points
- Travel is your biggest spend and you want to save $455 on annual fees

Why not?
- dining is a big spend category for you
- You don’t want biz cards
- You spend $300 on lyft per year, then you should stick with CSR
Amex Green Card
Why?
- Travel and dining are your biggest categories. You save $400 on annual fees
- You want to keep 14+ transfer partners available for aspirational trips

Why not?
- Before CSR went up to $550 I would have said for $450 you can get CSR so no point in this amex green, but now, I don’t really see any reason not to get this card if you’re dropping the CSR
- This card is the best replacement for the CSR if you’re downgrading
- With Chase you get United as a partner, so if you fly United a lot and don’t have any more Chase cards than maybe you do the CIBP instead?

Amex platinum
Why?
- You travel all the time and are near a centurion lounge (check video for locations)
- 5X on flights and hotels is the top
- Amex transfer partners are equally as good as Chase

Why not?
- If your major category is dining, then this card may not be right, and if you really want the best dining, get the amex gold (bonus 4th card)
- Annual fee is the same as the CSR
- Booking on amextravel.com is annoying and not always the lowest price
- Again, you’re not gonna hit that $55/month uber charge (for me in nyc that’s one trip to the airport)
