As I was scrubbing footage, I found something interesting. We all have those days where we try to max out and end up missing the rep. I for one can certainly relate to the frustration and anger considering all of the work that led up to the point of attempting a max attempt. This really built guy on the bench next to me missed 315 and gave the weights a little of what he was feeling. I completely feel his pain and wish I had the courage to do the same sometimes. Next time I see him, I’m going to talk to him and try to understand his rep scheme a little more to see if he’s interested in any help. He certainly has the foundation/platform/build to be repping 315, don’t you think?
In this video, I try to give some tips on things I do before and after a bench press as well as explain a couple of commonly asked questions:
-why do I do half reps
-what is the slide all about
