Yaroslava Mahuchikh is a Ukrainian high jumper who won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. With a height of 2.00 m, she beat off strong competition to secure Olympic victory.
Mahuchikh had already attracted attention with a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. In July 2024, she set a new world record in the high jump with 2.10 m in Paris. This record broke the previous record of 2.09 m, which had stood since 1987.
