Festival of Quilts 2013 - Birmingham UK - Dutch Quilters Wiolan - Part 2

Luana Rubin of eQuilter.com interviews Anco Brouwers and Olga Prins in Part Two of this review of the "Wiolan: Three Dutch Textile Artists" exhibit at the 2013 Birmingham Quilt Festival. Anco likes making 3-dimensional quilts with transparencies and lots of layering and textures. Olga uses transfer dyes, and weaves strips into secondary shapes. She is inspired by Crop Circles and the I Ching. Layers of transparency and hand-painted fabrics give a shimmering effect.
