Things to Do in the Dallas Fort Worth Suburbs

When exploring either Dallas or Fort Worth, don't forget about the many suburbs in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex! I check out a few different suburbs in the northern part of the metroplex from Grapevine to Frisco and Plano. Here are some different things to do in the Dallas Fort Worth Suburbs:

For starters, check out the historic downtown of Grapevine. Located just northwest of the Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW), this suburb has a very walkable historic downtown with many wineries, beautiful architecture, and a vintage railroad which even has a train which can take you to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Make sure to get a deli sandwich from Weinbergers Deli as well as some edible raw cookie dough from Doughlicious.

In Frisco, visit the National Videogame Museum which hosts a great collection of classic video games and other video game memorabilia. Different features of the museum are a gigantic Pong game, exhibits of 70s, 80s, and 90s video game consoles, an 80s arcade, and more. Make sure to grab a selfie with Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and Pikachu while you are there!

In the west side of Plano, get out into nature at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. This beautiful park hosts many trails with a lot of great scenery. It is the perfect place for exercise or even some photography.
