BEST Restaurants in Holmfirth, England

Holmfirth is home to great restaurants, and I head out on a tour to check out some of the best restaurants around Holmfirth. Not only Holmfirth is the main filming location for the longest running comedy series "Last of the Summer Wine" but is also a great spot for great eats.

1. The Old Bridge Inn - The Old Bridge Inn is not only a restaurant and coffee house but also a hotel. I head inside for breakfast to get the Full English breakfast, an English breakfast tradition you need to get at least once. They even make a vegan version too so that everyone can join in the fun. The Old Bridge Inn is also a great spot to enjoy the traditional Sunday roast.

2. Lou & Joe's Burger Co. - Lou & Joe's is the place to go for some tasty burgers. I head inside to try one of their mouth-watering burgers.

3. Bengal Spice - Bengal Spice is home to some great Indian and Bengal food. I previously visited this restaurant during my previous trip to Holmfirth back in 2015, and I am excited to go back for a revisit. I head inside for some sizzling chicken tikka masala.

4. Catch Seafood Holmfirth - Catch Seafood Holmfirth is one of the great spots in Holmfirth where you can get some great seafood including fish & chips. I get a giant piece of fish with some chips while enjoying the views from outside.

5. Compo's - I also go to a local favorite for great fish & chips. Named after the late Bill Owen's character, Compo, from "Last of the Summer Wine", Compo's is a popular spot for tasty fish & chips. I was recommended to get the Chinese curry with the fish, and it was so good!

6. Poppa Piccolinos - For some great Italian food, Poppa Piccolinos is a great place for great pasta and other Italian classics as well as some Malaysian food.

7. The Huntsman Inn - Located a few miles out of town along Greenfield Rd, the Huntsman Inn is another restaurant/hotel which offers great British fare. I join up with Ben, one of my great followers from the area, to enjoy a delicious steak & ale pie with some chips and mushy peas.
