After arriving by ferry to Isla Mujeres, we had 2 entire days on the island, so we have a good list of things to do, eat and see! We started out our first day with a delicious breakfast of cazuela rancheros and homemade tortillas, before grabbing a coffee from a roadside coffee shop with frappes! Our food was amazing and extremely affordable, breakfast cost around $6 each while our coffees were $3 each.
Our next stop was, of course, the beach! Playa Norte is the main beach on Isla Mujeres, and it boasts teal blue waters and extremely soft sand. We spent a good portion of our day at a beach club (Tarzan beach club). We paid 300 pesos ($15) for chairs, 100 pesos ($5) for drinks, and 100 pesos for some tacos. We really liked our beach location, and the service was great, but we would recommend deciding before you get to the beach which club you want to go to for the day, as there are many options and some will use your chair payment as a 'deposit' towards food and drink purchases.
This island is also an extremely easy day trip from Cancun! We had some friends come over and meet us the next day, so make sure to subscribe to catch that video as well!
