Super Typhoon Goni / Rolly Nearing the Philippines

Super Typhoon Goni ( Rolly) remains a category 5 storm on Halloween following an eye wall replacement cycle. With max winds at 155 knots ( 270kph ) this storm has far exceeded the max strength of Amphan and Laura as the strongest storm of 2020 anywhere on the planet. Those out ahead of it need to start to prepare now especially in those cities in right front quadrant of the storm. Landfall is expected by Sunday night in to Monday morning. This makes it a night time landfall which adds to the threats with the system. Further inland damaging winds and heavy rainfall will also pose a threat much of Luzon including Manila. Already Signal Force Warnings are being issued by PAGASA despite landfall not being until Sunday Evening.
