Frances Farmer has her Death in Indianapolis

Famed actress and TV Host Frances Farmer, who is best known for her role in "Rhythm on the Range" with Bing Crosby. Farmer was featured in several feature films, and stage presentations. Later she also hosted her own talk show in Indy "Frances Farmer Presents...".
She is widely known for a variety of misconceptions and crazy stories about her, and her life. She was a diagnosed "paranoid schizophrenic", who was admitted to various mental institutions. She made claims of abuse, lobotomies, even rape and torture at the hands of her doctors and care takers.
She died of throat cancer at the age of 56 in Indianapolis. She is interred in the mausoleum at the nearby Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fishers, Indiana.
