Getting the new SEGA 32X core on your MiSTer FPGA setup | Hey, Mister!! Episode 02
In this episode of Hey, MiSTer!! we will take a look at the MiSTer's newest core - the SEGA 32X which was surprise-released by srg320 last Thursday.
This is noreworthy by itself because many thought that the 32X was impossible to recreate in FPGA, due to how it processes looped in analogue video from the MEGA DRIVE / Genesis. Yet, here we are!
What's even more mindblowing though is that srg320 is Ukrainian and currently living under Russian occupation! To casually release a core that was deemed impossible under these circumstances deserves all the recognition and applause possible!
In this video I show you how to manually install the core, which also applies to pretty much every standard core (CPS2 for example is a little different) and do a little test drive afterwards. I tried to make the episode somewhat infotaining rather than be just a dry how-to. Let me know if you like this approach.

About "Hey, MiSTer!!":
Hey, MiSTer!! is my series where I talk about the MiSTer FPGA project. MiSTer utilizes the DE10-nano FPGA development board in order to function as a simulation of original gaming hardware. So this is essentially hardware emulation rather than the most commonly found software emulation. Without getting into too much details: Hardware emulation beats software emulation - that's why FPGA solutions in general and MiSTer especially are so awesome.
Getting into MiSTer is a bit of a rabbit hole. For starters, you should visit the project's wiki on Github (https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki) as well as take a look at the official forums (https://misterfpga.org/).
