30 different hot drinks and a flying Santa | Vlogmas Day 4
Another day another day of Vlogmas and another Christmas Market
This time we took the train not too far away to the main city in Saarland called Saarbrücken.
As we have been to a couple of different markets in Germany already, it is clear that whilst there are a lot of similarities between them they all have something unique that sets them apart.
This on in particular had something that I have seen nowhere else...a genuine flying Santa in his sleigh being pulled by reindeer over the roofs of the city!
There also is the biggest Glühwein menu I have ever seen on offer here.
It's clearly worth visiting as many Christmas markets as you can here in Germany as no two are alike.
Train info:
We bought a regional day ticket for our trip which gave us as many trips as we wanted in the state/county/area in one day.
It was only €30 for 2 people for the entire day so it often works out cheaper than buying a regular ticket.
You can find more information about it here:
https://www.bahn.de/en/view/offers/regional/regional-day-tickets.shtml
If you are going to another state/county/area in Germany there is also similar ticket to the regional one that allows you to take as many trains as you like for the entire day provided that they are not "ICE" trains in Germany.
It's €44 for one person and then an additional €8 for each person thereafter, a maximum of 5 extra people at this price.
