Hurricane Erin saw explosive growth over the weekend as she continues to churn in the Atlantic Ocean

Erin went from a tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane in about 24 hours over the weekend. She will continue her northward movement before heading back out to sea later this week. Dangerous riptides and high surf will impact the East Coast of the United States.
