Ralif was born on January 24, 1963 in the village of Shamratovo, Karaidel district, Bashkir ASSR. After graduating from secondary school No. 26 in Ufa, the young man in 1980 entered the Ufa Aviation Institute. Sergo Ordzhonikidze (UAI), who graduated five years later.
Since 1987, for two years he worked as an artist-decorator at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, at the same time Ralif studied at the evening department of the Ufa children's art school No. 2 with teacher M.B. Zagumennova. After that he continued his studies (1989-1992) at the art department of the Ufa School of Arts in the workshop of teachers G.G. Kalitov and R.M. Shafieva.
During these years, he continued to combine his studies with the work of a decorator at the Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 1990, Akhmetshin has been actively participating in various republican art exhibitions, for ten years he has made a number of creative trips around Russia and Bashkortostan.
In 1998, the artist participated in a group exhibition of Bashkortostan artists in Lubeck (Germany), and the next year, in 1999, in a group exhibition of Bashkir artists in Chattanooga (Tennessee, USA).
In 2003, a personal exhibition of R. Akhmetshin was held in the Aimak Art Gallery (Ufa), the second personal exhibition of the artist in his native city was held in the Miras Art Gallery in 2011.
In 2005, the artist made a creative trip to the USA to participate in an international exhibition in New York, within the framework of this trip Akhmetshin's personal exhibition took place in Atlanta. In 2008, Ralif made a creative trip to France.
In 2010, the artist took part in the All-Russian Plein Air in the city of Orsk, Orenburg Region, and was awarded a diploma. Many works by the artist Ralif Akhmetshin are kept in private collections in Russia, Europe, China and America.
