3 THRIFTED & YARD SALE DIY DECOR FLIPS & FRENCH COUNTRY SHABBY FARMHOUSE DECOR INSPIRATION (156)

In this video I recreate 3 thrifted, yard sale finds and give each piece a new decor style and look. I am working on items that needs some decor TLC and want to up cycle some pieces I already have on hand without having to spend a lot of money on purchasing new pieces for my home. I want to show how you can take some pieces that you may have thrifted or may be thinking of getting rid of and demonstrate how you can totally transform them to fit the desired look you are wanting to achieve. I transform a yard sale wood chandelier candle sconce I purchased for $1 and turned it into a shabby chic decor piece. I paint the whole piece with white linen chalk paint and then distress using a candle wax method I've shown in previous videos. I also flip a $5 lamp I purchased from a yard sale and do the same technique to it but use Rustoleum Cream Chiffon paint. I show added inspiration and ideas on how to take free printables or scrapbook paper to add extra color and details to a lamp pole and also embellish the lampshade. I transform a galvanized watering can I purchased from a thrift store for $5. I spray paint using Rustoleum Heirloom White and then add a free printable I got off the Graphics Fairy website and applied it using Gorilla spray adhesive. I style all the pieces together showing how easy and affordable you can transform pieces you may already have at home into French country, shabby chic or farmhouse styles you are going for. These transformed pieces will make great additions to any French country, shabby, farmhouse decor or style in your home. I love the French country, shabby, farmhouse style and color palettes and with some chalk paint, bling and creativity, it's easy to totally transform pieces you already have. I show in the video how well these pieces can be paired with various colors and I stage them showing the many ways they can dress up any space in your home and bring out that French Country Shabby Farmhouse flare!
