How This Village Is Changing India’s Future Forever
How can a single village secure its water future before the harsh summer strikes? This is the reality of Ratanpar village, where ground-level action is turning hope into community-wide transformation.

By deepening local lakes and implementing massive rainwater harvesting infrastructure, this initiative is building long-term agricultural sustainability and drought resilience where it is needed most. Through the critical support and machinery provided by the Girganga Parivar Trust, local leaders, administrative heads, and village volunteers are working hand-in-hand to reshape the region's environmental future.

To date, a massive excavation of over 5,000 tractor-loads of fertile soil has been completed to deepen the lakebed, and heavy earth-moving equipment is actively structuring strong embankments to maximize water retention for the upcoming monsoon. This video captures the field visit and inspection by prominent social leaders, including Dilipbhai Sakhia, Anubhai Tejani from Amreli, Nemubapa, Kaushikbhai Vekariya, Mansukhbhai, and the local village Sarpanch, alongside leadership from Girishbhai Godhani in Surat.

This model demonstrates how grassroots collaboration between dedicated NGOs and active community members can solve India's water crisis, one village at a time.
