The Kidney Research Institute is a world-class collaborative research organization in Seattle, WA. It's made up of passionate investigators conducting a wide range of studies designed to improve the lives of people with kidney disease. This film highlights several of the organization's ongoing studies, including sending kidney chips into space, groundbreaking work with kidney tissue regeneration, research into the links between kidney disease and cardiovascular health, and creating a portable dialysis machine at the Center for Dialysis Innovation. It also showcases the organziation's dedication to involving patients in the research process, as well as its nephrology Fellowship Program, which trains and energizes the next generation of kidney scientists.
