Baseball Manager Casey Stengel Interviews Miss Rheingold 1964 Candidates: Radio Ad

The ad aired on WOR, New York City, Aug. 22, 1963. Rheingold beer sponsored the contest for many years. The year 1964 was the last until the contest and the beer was revived more recently by another company that bought the brand. The winner of the 1964 contest is heard in the ad: Celeste Yarnall, who went on to an acting career. Casey Stengel managed the Yankees for many years. At the time the ad was recorded, he was managing the New York Mets.
