Ads from the California Nov. 2012 General Election: Tax Propositions
TV and radio campaign ads. Prop 30 (passed) involved an increase in income and sales taxes sponsored by Gov. Jerry Brown aimed at education. Prop 38 (not passed) was an income tax increase more tightly earmarked for schools than Prop 30. Prop 39 (passed) removed an option in the state corporate income tax whereby out-of-state firms could choose between two tax calculations.
