Visiting Helen, GA and a filming location for Smokey and the Bandit.

1/26/2021 - Today we visit Helen, GA. This is the third most visited town in Georgia with a population of 574. It's known for it's Bavarian style buildings and wineries. This little town offers biergartens, winetasting, souvenir shops, eateries, and many other boutiques to meander through.

Another fun attraction is going tubing along the Chattahoochee River. There are a few rental companies in the area that'll get you set up for a nice day of floating down the river. The town's website describes it as "the charm of Bavaria, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains". We definitely agree with that!
