ARP 247-4203B - 12v Cummins replacement head studs saga

I'm just trying to wrap up a big update to my 1996 Ram 2500 Cummins 12v diesel and got a little stuck with what to do with these new ARP 247-4203B No machining required head studs. Hopefully this helps anyone along experiencing the same problem.

ARP offers a couple kits for the 1989 - 1998 12V trucks, the standard kit requires you to machine the tops of your rocker arm pedestals to fit the head of the stud under your valve cover. This 247-4203B kit claims that no rocker arm pedestal machining is required. I went this route and bumped into something I wasn't expecting.
