Ibrahim Lodi himself was killed in the battle, and his death led to the end of the Delhi Sultanate and the establishment of the Mughal Empire in India. After Ibrahim Lodi's death, Gwalior Fort eventually came under the control of the Mughals. The fort remained an important strategic stronghold for the Mughals and witnessed further developments and expansions during their rule.
