Since 2000, City Sounds has been at the forefront of the local music scene, introducing Brisbane to up-and-coming local musicians via live performances scattered around The City. City Sounds has also established itself as Australia’s largest free live music program.

With everything from alternative and folk, to jazz and electro, and everything in between, City Sounds has something for every music lover.

Presidential Blues perform as a Duo consisting of “Big D” on Resonator Guitar, stompbox & vocals, and “Uncle Leon” on Harmonica & vocals,
They have been performing since 2016, and initially started out as a Guitar / Bass Duo, before our harmonica player joined around 2 years ago (one of the best harp players in Australia)
They play a mix of covers and originals in the old delta blues style, with a tinge of Ragtime Jazz thrown in as well. We play locally on the Gold Coast, as well as in Brisbane as featured act at places like the Bearded Lady, Lefty's Old Time Music Hall, and the Triffid, as well as appearing in Music Festivals around SE QLD
They are all very experienced players, with over 80+ years playing experience between them.
They have been building a cult following around the SE QLD area and working on more originals with the aim to release an album, and play at more festivals
