And You Can Too: My Hand-Sewn 18th Century Robe a l'Anglaise | English Gown Part 2
My 18th Century Robe a l'Anglaise (English Gown) project is done! Watch along as I track the journey of the last 6 months of isolation and how I stay sane with my project management for costumes.
And you can too!
This Robe a l'Anglaise is both my origin story, and my Everest. While it seems like a plain English Gown, the craftsmanship has taken months for me to understand. Part 2 is a full timeline of the last several months and the mad rush to get this gown done.

@Burnley and Trowbridge Co. are responsible for all my accessories with their amazing sew-alongs! They also provided the Green Worsted Woold "stuff" and many of the notions I use.
The stays pattern is from @Redthreaded. It is the 1780s stays, purchased digitally via their etsy page.
@American Duchess wrote the book from which I am mainly working on this gown.
The other book is linked here: https://www.rizzolibookstore.com/seventeenth-and-eighteenth-century-fashion-detail
The Pleating Tutorial and the Zoom Livestream were both from @SnappyDragon during CoCoVid.
