Nigel Farage and Brexit Party MEPs anger EU as they turn their backs on European anthem (2/07/19)

BREXIT PARTY MEPs shocked the European Parliament in its opening session by dramatically turning their back as soon as the European Union's anthem was performed.

The MEPs from Nigel Farage's party kicked off their time at the European Parliament in dramatic fashion. The 29 Brexiteer MEPs carried out the orchestrated move as soon as the Ode to Joy began to play.

Leader Nigel Farage and newly elected candidates including Ann Widdecombe and Annunziata Rees-Mogg performed the protest as representatives gathered for the first session since May’s European elections.
