Tangmere Smashes Wilpshire Bank 10/11/2021

A brief video on this occasion as we see the 2nd loaded test run of recently returned to steam David Smith's un-rebuilt Battle of Britain bulleid pacific 34067 Tangmere on the Carnforth, Hellifield, Blackburn & Preston circuit.

Here we see her climbing the 1 in 82 gradient of wilpshire bank with 10 coaches & class 37 37518 in tow with the 37 diesel tuck inside behind Tangmere in double heading formation.

With no assistance from the 37 mostly on tick over & acting as insurance in case Tangmere failed while on route smashed the bank with a great sound track & great whistle & horn from both engines as the train approaches Langho station.
