How Do Vaccines Work? How Does our Immune System Work? How Does the Immune System Fight Pathogens?

Vaccinations have always been a controversial issue, there are groups of people who generally reject them and, again, there are laws in some countries that prescribe special basic vaccinations.
At the same time, there are many rumours circulating in everyday conversations and in the media, and the discussion occurs again and again in particular during the winter season, as e. g. flu vaccinations are pending at that time.
How do vaccines work? How does our immune system work? How does the immune system fight pathogens?
Let us briefly explain how our immune system works, the effects of vaccinations, the different types of vaccinations and their advantages and disadvantages. The main idea behind the use of vaccine is that our immune system has a wonderful capability to remember bad things. Usually, any bad pathogen: virus, bacteria or parasite. That supports the immune system to do the job easier, faster and more efficient.
Hopefully this helps a little to form an opinion on the subject and don't forget that if you "go through" an influenza infection, for example, this is as well harmful to the body and not only for the moment of the infection.
