How to Love Studying Things You Hate? - 6 Steps to Develop a Passion Towards Everything You Want!

We all have certain things that interests us less, topics that are boring to us and topics that we seem to plainly hate. For many people and students this are fields like math, physics, financial subjects or even religious studies.

But why should we overcome our bad feelings towards a subject and start loving it? It would be so much easier to just concentrate on our initial interests and become a master in these!

Then try to explain to your teacher that you are not particularly good in statistics, but you are very interested in Psychology in general and you would still like to have your degree in Psychology.
If this has worked out, try again with the tax office, just tell you do not really understand taxes... You'll need an expensive tax consultant and the world does not really spin like this!
In many cases, we simply need to overcome issues that at first sight seem unpleasant to us to achieve our ultimate goals.

But the most important reason to love studying things you hate is: There is no reason to hate them.
You just haven’t figured out the right way to learn them. Learning how to learn these subjects can open you up to new interests and opportunities.

One simple Technique helps you to get stuff done no matter how bad your feelings are against it:

The Pomodoro (tomato) Technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo, is a very simple but highly effective method that divides a task into tiny steps and allows an overcoming of procrastination.

Step 1 – Choose a task
Step 2 – Timer for 25 min.
Step 3 – Do not interrupt
Step 4 – First checkmark
Step 5 – Relax and repeat
Step 6 – Earned 4 pomodoros?
- 20 minutes break and repeat. -

By using the Pomodoro Technique, you will start getting results and becoming better. You will make a connection to the topic, which will evolve after many failures and mistakes to a successful relationship. And by having good experiences it will get easier for you to be involved with everything you hated doing or studying in the past.
By using these six steps, you can develop a passion for a subject you don’t like. Some subjects take longer than others to truly master, but the approach outlined here can help get you past the worst obstacles.
