How to Become a Data Engineer

In this video I'm going to answer one of the most frequently asked questions: how to become a data engineer? There are two aspects to this question that I'd like to discuss:
1. What routes are there to becoming a data engineer
2. What skills do you need to start applying to data engineering jobs

Watch the video for more details, but just to give you a brief overview, there are three routes to becoming a data engineer:
1. Technology Graduate Schemes
2. Data Consultancies
3. Junior Data Engineering positions

And when it comes to data engineering skills that you should have on your CV, I think it'd be hard to get by without Python, SQL, basic database knowledge and a little bit of Linux.
