'Close friends' Federer and Nadal climb the Dolomites together for Louis Vuitton photoshoot

Former rivals and longtime friends Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were called by Louis Vuitton to take part in a high-altitude photoshoot with famous photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Together, Nadal and Federer ascended to the summit of Italy’s Dolomites at 3000 metres high in a very snowy day.

The two tennis legends claimed a combined 42 Grand Slams - 20 for Federer and 22 for Nadal.

They played each other 40 times, with Nadal leading 24–16 overall, including 14–10 in finals.

The last time they played together was at the 2022 Laver Cup, in Federer's 1750th and last ever match.

Paired against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe, Federer and Nadal lost in three sets.
