Druine D31 Turbulent at Tokoroa Airfield

This Druine D31 Turbulent homebuilt aircraft dropped in to the Tokoroa Airfield today on its way to a fly-in further down-country.

This particular plane was built in the 1960s and is remarkable for its simplicity, small size and longevity.

Quite a few aircraft dropped in to the airfield today on their way to the SAA fly-in and we saw more air-traffic in a single day tha we've seen in the whole of the year to date.
