I Built A Skate Park For $750!

Recently I built a concrete park on the empty lot next to my home. I ended up spending a bit more $ than I had planned to when, to make the build easier, I spent around ($600) or 14 million Vietnam Dong on metal-work, and also I wanted some stuff like the rail, grind box and manny pad to be portable, so it seemed worth it. I could have saved a lot of money by just building the park using found rubble and buying some sand and cement, which is really cheap here in Vietnam! One 50kg cement bag is around $3.50!

In total I spent around $125 or 3 million VND on sand and cement for the build and everything else including wood, steel rebar, bricks, and rubble was found in the garden or the neighbourhood.

The concrete floor was already built a few years ago for the mini ramp that we ended up relocating to the other side of the building, so I didn't include the cost of that.

The next phase of this project includes extending this mini skate park, at the moment it's only around 90m2, and also extensions to the mini ramp including a pump track and maybe a bowl!
