Bleaching hair without bleach (baking soda bleach).

This video both shows and explains the process I went through to lighten my hair without bleaching it. I did a baking soda 'bleach' on my hair and I'm thoroughly impressed with the outcome. It didn't damage my hair at all and left my both my scalp and hair feeling healthy. The only thing I forgot to mention in this video was that if you plan on doing this method on your own hair, try to wash out as much of the colour with shampoo as you possibly can. Keep watching if you want to see and learn how it's done.

Products used:
- Purple shampoo / FUDGE CLEAN BLONDE SHAMPOO (fudge is cheap and the best purple toning shampoo I've personally ever used and I won't use anything else).
- 30 Vol Peroxide (though I would suggest using 10 Vol).
- Baking Soda (you'll find this in the cooking isle at your local grocery store).
- Dish washing liquid (any will do).

After doing this process, I recommend washing your hair a few times with the purple shampoo to tone out some of the orange/yellow that may be left over in your hair. If your hair is left the same colour as mine was, feel free to dry your hair then put the purple shampoo on your dry hair an leave it for thirty minutes. This will again lighten it and make it more of and icy/ashy blonde.
