Holy Diver Written by: Ronnie James Dio

When I think of heavy metal albums that launched metal music into the 80's Holy Diver is in that conversation. Dio's debut album featuring an unknown guitarist at the time Vivian Campbell became a template for an endless number of metal bands that followed. It eventually reached #40 on the rock charts; over time it became a favorite amongst heavy metal alumni and fans alike. Buy September the album reach gold status.

Vivian Campbell quickly achieved guitar god status. He would remain a frequent face on guitar magazines for many years to come. Today, Vivian continues his guitar duties in Def Leppard and records and tours with the Last in Line band.
