High Line, New York - An Urban Garden

New York's High Line is a one mile long linear park built on a disused section of elevated railway in the lower west side of Manhattan.

We went for a walk along the High Line in September 2012. The views are fantastic. The park was well maintained and clean although a little noisy with all the traffic and building work going on around.

I believe the park is a work in progress with further extensions planned. Well worth a return visit if we ever find ourselves in New York again.
