CALDEIRADA DE PEIXE is a simple traditional fishermen's stew. The dish varies from town to town and depends on what the fishermen have managed to catch.

INGREDIENTS (for 4 people)
I kg white fish, cut into slices of about 50g
1 large onion
1/2 a red pepper
1/2 a green pepper
2 medium tomatoes
4 cloves of garlic
2 or 3 bay leaves
50 ml olive oil
100 ml dry white wine
a small bunch of parsley
a small pinch Portuguese hot pepper powder "Piripiri" (optional
salt
