Pastor Gowen starts a new OSHi myth or faith themed study based on LCMS seminary professor Dr. Donald Deffner's adult catechetical materials for Concordia Publishing House titled "Myth or Faith?" This study lays out the content of the Christian faith as participants use Scripture to evaluate various popular myths – e.g., that Christians become angels after they die.

In this week's Bible study on "Myth or Faith?" Pastor Gowen introduces participants to key misconceptions about God, beginning with the first two myths: that God is impersonal and that God expects individuals to change before they are acceptable to Him. The study examines how these myths are addressed in Scripture, showing that God is deeply personal and meets people in their brokenness. By exploring Paul's message at Mars Hill and various biblical passages, participants are guided to understand God's true nature and the church's role in reflecting His love and care.

This Study will continue for several weeks with an anticipated end date the week before we start the season of lent.
