IT IS NOW POST TIME LP (LIVE 1961)- JOE E. LEWIS
This the only LP that famous comedian Joe E. Lewis ever recorded. Although he performed in Show Business for over 40 years, this is the only recording known to exist of a typical show with Joe. It was recorded live during Joe's late show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas in 1961, and released by Frank Sinatra's Reprise record label. Sinatra was a close personal friend of Joe's and eventually played Joe E. Lewis in the biographical 1957 movie "The Joker is Wild", based on the book of the same name published by Random House in 1955. We hope you enjoy the sounds of old Las Vegas, where the cracking of ice, the flicking of cigarette lighters, the clinking of glasses and Joe E. Lewis' gravelly voice will take you back to a time long gone and, sadly, never to return again. It is now post-time!
