Yesterday saw a last-minute trip added to Biden's schedule with him flying up to Delaware at about 5:30PM to attend a wake for a former staffer, then coming back the same night just a few hours later (he was in the air more than he was on the ground it seems). I went out to catch the takeoff but it was very jittery and far away. Biden actually spoke to the media so I didn't get a good shot. He came back later that night, but was so delayed I decided to kill time riding a bike around the National Mall, which is infested with bugs at this time of year. Eventually, he returned to the Ellipse and I was there to film the helicopters because basically, I'm a little kid when it comes to helicopters.
