China starts military drills around Taiwan as 'punishment'

China has launched two days of large-scale military drills in the seas around Taiwan, in what's being called a punishment for a speech by its new president. China's state broadcaster has called William Lai's inauguration speech a provocation and a declaration of independence. Manoj Kewalramani from the Takshashila Institution weighs in.
